How exactly does high speed internet work?
wagonwheel asked:
So we’re finally surrendering and considering high speed internet. Currently we have dial up AOL service. The local high speed connection for our area is Time Warner which charges like $20. Should we keep AOL and pay the high speed charge of $20 plus the $10 AOL high speed service that like protects against viruses and other junk? What other options are there?

no forget aol and Time Warner has terrible customer service but still just get cable its a lot better then dial-up
“People Still Use Aol?!?!”
Well, I guess some people do , so , yes , I would get the cable if I were you , get the fastest plan , I assure you that you will love it , but , why on earth would you pay for AOL still? It will just slow down your high speed and their anti virus and other features aren’t good anyway.
Good anti virus can be found for free on cnet.com , in the download section
Get AVG anti virus , and AdAdware SE.
2 Very good anti virus and anit spyware programs.
Good Luck.
