Time Warner Cable- What is the difference between High Speed Internet and Wireless?

Mikles K asked:

I recently found an ad by Time Warner Cable that says “$14.95 per month! Get High Speed Internet!” & I was wondering, is High Speed Internet the same as Wireless Internet? Like Net-gear & stuff like that?

99% of internet is the same. It uses the same protocols. High speed is the same as wireless except the high speed is plugged into a wireless router. So its the same thing. Net-gear is a company that makes things for high speed such as wireless routers.

High Speed Internet makes you have an internet connection. Wireless, you have to buy a separte wireless router, and it’ll connect other computers/laptops to the main computer that has internet.

time warner cable would give you a router (mine did…) and it’ll give internet to one computer. With a wireless router, you can connect to the internet with multple computer/laptop.
