No, because the line isn’t hooked to anything and you don’t have a number. It wouldn’t do anything if you tried. I’d suggest getting Cable Internet instead cuz then it comes through your cable tv instead of you having to reactivate your land line which will cost a lot.

Hmmm…..call your cell phone provider, maybe they can run a line to your cell phone…….

yes, Brian is right!!! get your self some good high-speed internet, then you can get SIP service, and a phone number too….its only 2.49 a month to have a number….I do that!! and lots of my friends too…

Yahoo and Verizon offer also naked DSL line, at a fair price!! but you gotta check your area…

YES.. if you want DSL then you are looking at getting what is called “DRY” DSL.. it is DSL minus dial tone.. (actuallay there is dial tone, but when you pick up a phone it gives a message that it is a dedicated data circuit, and can not be used to make phone calls)

Cable modem, Satellite, or WiFi are all other options that you can look into..

Yes you can - most companies now offer Dry DSL or Naked DSL (the name veries depending on the company). The only problem is that is cost more than it would to have it with the phone line.
